Mac Book Pro 2021: Power in its purest form

The most anticipated laptops of the season for years are the new 14-inch and 16-inch Mac Book Pro. They feature the M1 Pro and M1 Max processors that allow them to take a big leap in CPU and GPU performance, offering incredible graphics. But this time the changes are not only on the inside but also on the outside. They have gotten rid of the Touch Bar, but we also have HDMI ports, SD reader and a new MagSafe port. The new Mac Book Pro sizes have two different diagonals: 14 and 16 inches, specifically 14.2 and 16.2 inches that have a strong construction but is still very very thin. Those Mini LED displays are launched with support for ProMotion technologies and refresh rates up to 120 Hz. The rates are dynamically auto-configurable, but can be locked by the user if desired. The displays come with a standard brightness of 1000 nits and a maximum brightness of 1600 nits plus a contrast of 1,000,000:1. This means that even screens with reflections can be used outdoors without being affected by natural light.
The weight of the new laptops from the Californian company is between 1.61 kg for the 14-inch model, which is 15.5 mm thick, and 2.17 kg for the 16-inch model, which is thicker but equally remarkable at 16.8 mm.

With regard to the new ports incorporated in the renewed laptop, the three USB-C ports stand out, and in the headphones there is a MagSafe 3 port that will allow charging laptops with this unique magnetic connector that Apple has been incorporating in its computers for some years now. The new devices from the Californian giant have a full-size HDMI port and an SD card reader that seems clearly oriented to those professionals who use the card of their cameras to record videos. Thanks to the ports of the Mac Book Pro with the M1 Pro can support up to two Pro Display XDR screens, but with the M1 Max chips the figure reaches three Pro Display XDRs and a 4k TV.
